There is a resource on the GCS Membership Site called:
X-Ray Program Time Estimate
You’ll find it under the Resource Tab, Under the X-Ray Tab, Under Handouts.
I outline approximately the time you need to factor into your thinking to Prepare for the X-Ray, to Deliver the X-Ray (one or two days) and to Follow Up with the X-Ray. This will at least give you an idea of how to value your time in setting your price structure.
In addition to this information, you should also include in your X-Ray the hard costs which include getting the Map printed and providing binders for each participant. The binders are critical for a successful delivery of the X-Ray. There is too much information to share and to avoid frustration on the part of the participants, binders are essential. Figure $50 per participant.
NOTE: I provide the option of having FlashPoint! create the notebooks and mail them directly to you or to the client location – a complete turnkey service. If interested, just email me and I’ll explain what the costs are and what you receive.
My approach to working with a client is to provide them a 6-month program. I’ve found over the years that staying in touch with the client after the X-Ray ensures that they stay focused on those critical initiatives. On my follow up sessions, I have each person who owns the initiative to provide an update and find out if there are any obstacles to their progress. In one case, where the Project Manager was in charge of creating a training program, his concern was ‘where do I start’. I offered some ideas to help him come up with a plan on how to proceed. Here’s my program, adjust as you prefer.
Follow up phone call with CEO within 7 – 10 days after the X-Ray
One month after – 2 hour Zoom session with X-Ray Team
Two months after – 2 hour Zoom session with the X-Ray Team
Three months after – In person session for half a day to really dive deep into their progress
Four months after – 2 hour Zoom session
Five months after – 2 hour Zoom session
Six months after – One day X-Ray to see where they ‘moved the needle’
Of course, my pricing structure supports this work. I also offer a 100% guarantee that if the X-Ray process doesn’t provide what I promise in the beginning, I refund their money. I’ve never had to do that.
I would urge you to spend time on the website getting to know what resources are available. If you have any questions about the website or if you have suggestions for resources I can add, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I welcome your suggestions.
Your success. My passion.
